Stratasys appoints Dental Axess to champion 3D printing technology

Distribution News

Stratasys Asia Pacific, a global leader in 3D printing and additive manufacturing solutions, has appointed Dental Axess to strengthen its local presence in Australia and New Zealand, targeted at addressing the growing demand for digital dentistry and better serving the needs of orthodontics and dental clinics in the region. In addition, the company has launched the new Objet Eden260VS Dental Advantage, designed to allow faster and more cost-effective production of dental parts with delicate features and fine details.

Joining Stratasys' partner network with extensive knowledge and experience in channeling prosthetic dental CAD/CAM solutions, Dental Axess will focus on sales and the provision of local support and services for Stratasys' dental portfolio. This includes the entire dental range including the new Objet Eden260VS Dental Advantage 3D Printer, which offers a soluble support option that enables easy cleaning of dental parts with fine features such as the small removable die inserts in dental models. The automated support removal function minimizes the cost per part.

"We believe that the dental community are increasingly seeing the clinical and productivity benefits that 3D printing can bring to their daily work," said Ido Eylon, Stratasys AP's General Manager of Southern Asia & Pacific. "The dental market has always been a strategic focus at Stratasys. With the addition of the Objet Eden260VS Dental Advantage to Stratasys' wide range of solutions and the strengthening of our dental channel partner network, we are confident to capitalize on the growing potential in the region, providing local expertise to cater to the unique needs of the segment."

Stratasys will continue to offer first-class dental solutions to both small and large clinics and labs, facilitating businesses to expedite the modelling process of customized dental products including orthodontics, crowns, bridges and implants.

"The Stratasys range perfectly compliments our existing portfolio of digital dentistry products and solutions," said Dental Axess Director, Belinda Muggleton. "We are currently seeing a strong uptake in intraoral scanning technology with the 3Shape TRIOS system we offer and the ability to produce models, appliances and restorations using 3D printing technology naturally compliments that.

"We hope to help foster a greater awareness of this new technology within dentistry and how it can give you the edge."
